Instructions for Set-Up

  • Vendor set-up begins at 8:30 a.m.
  • GPS link click HERE for driving directions to Eden Park. This takes you pass “Tom Jones Commons, ” which is  the lot right below Mirror Lake on Martin Dr.  Immediately after the Commons, turn right on Parkside and then immediately turn right  again on the access road up to Mirror Lake.
  • Food trucks parked by the grass on the access road.
  • All vehicles must be off the grass in the festival area by 11:00 a.m.
  • You can click Booth number & diagram for Juneteenth 2025from   the  how the booths and tents will be arranged.   This is not precise. It shows in a general way where booths will be installed.  Ignore the numbers on the diagram.We will  notify you of your  booth location in the week before the Festival.  Your number will be approximate of the booth.

Booth will be 10” x 10’ foot “tent”. You will have a table in the booth. We will provide chairs

  • If you bring a “tent.” We will set up a space for yours.
  • When you arrive at the Festival, the Vendor coordinators, Harold Jones, & Karen Thomas, and Kenny Smith will help you locate your booth and deal with issues. We will have a label identifying on the booth. You will locate your booth.
  • Kenny Smith who connect to the generator.
  • We will have volunteers who can help with set up.
  • After you are set up, you must move your vehicle from area of the Festival to an official parking area.
  • There is parking at the foot of the access drive on Martin, along Gilbert, and along other streets, in “Tom Jones Common , across the street from Seasongood, on the Dr above Seasongood and below the Playhouse.
  • Music will end on Mirror Lake Stage at 8:00 pm and on Seasongood stage around 9:00 pm
  • You cannot bring your vehicles into the festival area around  Mirror before  people have left the area. There will be someone there to help you get your  things to your car. Be careful do not bring vehicles into the Mirror Lake area while there are still people walking around.
  • The Festival ends around 9:00  pm,  after the last performance (Raydio) at Seasongood

Vendors Information

Cincinnati’s 38th annual Juneteenth Festival will be in Eden Park on June 14-15.  We are now accepting application for vendors & exhibitors on Saturday, June 15 (there is no vending on Sunday, June 16).

We are working hard to assure that the event is well publicized and draws thousands of folks from all over the Cincinnati area.

As always, the afternoon will be packed with entertainment and many other attractions. The Festival will continue on Sunday, with a Father’s Day concert of inspirational music. All vending is limited to Saturday.

       Times

Festival 11:30 to 9:00 pm

Arrive & setup Booth

  • Set-up 8:00 a.m.
  • Volunteers will help setup  & tables & chairs
  • The police will close the area to vehicles at 11:30  and MUST  vehicles be moved from the area by Mirror Lake.

  • Breakdown: Vendors will be allowed to move vehicles into the vending area after 6:30 p.m. to break down.

 

Vendor & Exhibitor Fees

  • Sole Owner  Business  $225
  • For-profit (small business) : $250
  • Corporate / large business    $500
  •                    Late Bird Fee: Add $50 after June 1

Vending & Exhibitors Non-Food

            You may bring your own booth, but must still pay the vending space fee

Booth Assignment: When you arrive at the park, your booth should be labeled. The Vendor Coordinator will have a map identifying your booth as well.

Not Permitted

  •  No one will be permitted to sell or use items of violence such as toy guns, water guns, BB. guns, or caps, or fireworks of any kind
  •     Music, Sound System: Vendors may not have sound systems (boom boxes, amplifiers, etc.) that project beyond the immediate area of the booth.
  • Not food sold

Electricity

  • If you need electricity (110 volt)
  • You will located near the food area. Add $25   fee; Bring an extension cord.
 
 

        Food Booth &  Truck

Fee: $300 due with application ($310 PayPal)

  •      10’ x 20’ tented booth;
  • 2ables; four chairs
  •  Bring your own or trailer

Electricity:  

  • We have an electrician hookup (Kenny Smith)
  • We expect to have a single, large generator to service all food vendors.
  • Email  to juneteenthcincinnati@mail.com a photo of the plugs that you need to hookup.
  • However, for this to work, we MUST know your needs in advance. This is especially important for deep fryers , stoves and other heavy duty equipment 220 volts.

                  Propane

  • Also need to know propane that you will using.
  • If you using propane, confirm that with the Cincinnati Fire Dept.((513)-263-8064)
  • Make sure you complete this information on the application form.

      Health Permit Required

  • All food cooked on site.
  •  
  • If  not prepared on the site but also have to be a permit.
  • Apply  for a “special events temporary permit ” to the Cincinnati Health Department (513-564-1751) TempFoodLicensing@cincinnati-oh.gov
  • The fee is now $220
  • but does not the Health Departmnent require a Special event permit if you have a mobile license (Ohio) for your food truck. but confirm that the license .
  • Both Health and Fire inspectors will inspect & check your permits & meet the requirements and before you can open.

    Food sale

  • Vendors may sell only the kinds of items listed on their applications, so please be specific.
  • Juneteenth Cincinnati has a booth only vendor authorized to sell soft drinks & water, hot dogs, metts, & brats. These sales help cover Festival expenses.

Health & Fire Permits & Inspections

  • Health and Fire inspectors will be at the Festival. They are serious about their work and will not allow you to start selling food unless you have a permit AND your booth has passed inspection.
  • You should, therefore, pay very close attention to the requirements for such things as a fan, meat thermometer, water containers, etc.
  • These are all itemized on the checklist provided by the Health Department.

    Read this before you affirm the bottom on the application.

    Show Agreement with the following Agreement with Juneteenth Cincinnati conditions:

    RIGHT OF REFUSAL: Juneteenth Cincinnati reserves the right to disallow any inappropriately presented item and to remove concession at the Vendor’s expense. Failure to adhere to the Festival rules and regulations for participation will result in closure of the Vending Space. Products that promote or depict sex, violence, crime, or profanity are not permitted.

    HOLD HARMLESS: Vendor assumes the entire responsibility and liability for theft, losses, damages, suits, and claims deriving out of injury or damage to Concessionaire’s displays, equipment and other property brought upon the premises of the Cincinnati Juneteenth Festival and shall indemnify and hold harmless the Cincinnati Park Board and Juneteenth Cincinnati from any such losses, damages and claims. 

    The Vendor acknowledges that Juneteenth Cincinnati does not maintain insurance covering such losses, damages, or claims by the Vendor. The Vendor  agrees to pay any reasonable costs to repair any damage, which may occur to City property as a result of the Vendor’s activities.
